Planning a trip to Ghana? Before you go, here are a few things you’ll need to know about entry requirements and travel guidelines.
What You’ll Need:
- A passport that’s valid for at least six months, with an empty page for the entry stamp.
- Proof of Yellow Fever vaccination (or a waiver if needed).
- A travel visa, which you can either get from your home country or on arrival in Ghana.
- Keep in mind any COVID-19-related guidelines, which are outlined below.
COVID-19 Entry Updates: Great news! Ghana has lifted all COVID-19 travel restrictions for incoming travelers. Here’s what that means:
- You no longer need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter.
- PCR testing for unvaccinated travelers is no longer required.
- For your safety, it’s still recommended to use hand sanitizer and wear a mask inside airport terminals and related areas.
When Leaving Ghana: If you’re flying out of Accra, remember to follow the COVID-19 testing rules for your destination country.
